Travelling to the University of Leeds

Here is some information on how to reach Leeds once you are in the UK. Leeds has excellent transport links, so we we would encourage all participants to travel by public transport as parking on campus is very limited.

Invited speakers

Invited speakers will be accommodated at Hotel Ibis Leeds Centre, 23 Marlborough Street, Leeds, LS1 4PB. The hotel can be contacted via phone on +44 113 396 9000 or via email to H3652@accor.com.

The Hotel Ibis is at about 12-minute walking distance from Leeds Train Station. Alternatively, a taxi ride would last about 7-10 minutes and cost about £5.

The School of Maths is at about 15-minute walking distance from the Hotel Ibis. Click here for a static map or here for Google maps directions.

Other participants

There is no registration fee, but participants other than invited speakers will have to make their accommodation and travel arrangements (the sooner the better) with their own financial support. There is limited funding to contribute to the travel expenses of PhD students and early career researchers.

Provided below are some links to recommended hotels for those looking to book their own:

Leeds is also home to many great restaurants meaning you will find plenty of places nearby with availability to suit all tastes.

Refreshments

Lunch and break-time refreshments for registered participants will be provided each day. The coffee and lunch breaks will be taken in the School of Mathematics, either in Level 8 (open area) or Level 9 (Reading Room, on Tuesday 9/7).
